CBI report about positive impact of green energy projects

Confederation of British Industry wrote a new report, which says a lot about transition towards net zero economy. Great work has been done in this field, having particularly positive impact to the regions in the UK, which experience industrial decline such as Tyneside, Teesside, Merseyside and the Humber, who contribute more to the growth of green economy than London or South East.

The UK is considered to be the global leader in green energy technologies, like offshore wind turbines and others. The goal of reaching net zero emissions involves more than 20,000 businesses with around 840,000 jobs in fields, related to green economy, covering all from renewable energy to waste management.

The transition to green economy is said to be worth £71 billion, and even all green energy-related jobs are in general paid way better, than the national average, which currently is £33,400, whilst average wage in green sector being £42,600.

Moreover, there is to be way more, which green sector is about to offer, making it one of the most promising fields for your future career: by 2030 there will be up to 480,000 jobs, supported by the net zero drive, with £100 billion invested from the private sector, and another £30 billion in funding from the government.
